What Is Powder Coating?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process in which electrostatically charged powder particles are applied to the surface of aluminum extrusions. The coated profiles are then cured under heat in a dedicated oven, causing the powder to melt, flow, and form a hard, uniform finish that is far superior to conventional liquid paint.
The result is a thick, durable coating that provides outstanding resistance to corrosion, chipping, scratching, fading, and wear. Unlike liquid finishes, the powder coating process produces zero volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, making it an environmentally responsible choice for surface finishing.
At Yogi Extrusions, our automated powder coating line ensures consistent film thickness, full profile coverage, and exceptional adhesion on every piece, from simple flat bars to complex hollow sections.
